Dutch producer Every Media has seven microdramas in development

Every Media, the Dutch producer behind The Last Summer for public broadcaster KRO-NCRV, has seven microdramas in development, two of them in pre-production, C21Media reported on 20 October 2026.
Producer and co-founder Tim Vloothuis said the projects are being made with commercial streamers and public service broadcasters, none of which were named. He did not disclose titles or release dates.
The Last Summer ran to 10 episodes of about two minutes each. Vloothuis said it drew millions of views from tweens and teens online, without giving a figure. He said the target budget is a tenth of that of a traditional TV or streaming series and that he is aiming for seasons of 30 or 40 episodes or more. All figures are Vloothuis's own statements.
