Sensor Tower acquired app-intelligence rival AppMagic in May

Sensor Tower, the app-market intelligence company, announced on 12 May 2026 that it had acquired AppMagic, adding what it called a dedicated solution for small and medium-sized businesses to its product suite. AppMagic confirmed the acquisition on its own blog. No financial terms were disclosed in either announcement.
Sensor Tower chief executive Oliver Yeh said the deal brings together the two companies' teams, technology and products.
Both vendors are among the most frequently cited sources for microdrama app downloads, revenue and rankings. Since 12 May 2026 both have had the same corporate owner, so figures from the two are no longer independent of each other. Sensor Tower also acquired data.ai in 2024.
