iQIYI's annual report puts its micro-drama library near 20,000 titles

The streaming platform's 2025 annual report on Form 20-F treats micro dramas as a defined business line, reporting roughly 20,000 micro-drama titles against more than 40,000 long-form titles.

iQIYI's annual report for the 2025 financial year, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on 16 March 2026, defines micro dramas as titles with episodes of roughly one to five minutes, optimised for vertical viewing.

The filing reports approximately 20,000 micro dramas in the platform's library, against more than 40,000 long-form titles. Micro dramas carry a dedicated section in the business description, a specific regulatory risk factor, and appear in the accounting policies for both produced content and licensed copyrights. The competitive landscape section lists micro-drama platforms among the company's competitors.

The ratio is one of the few figures from a filing that measures how far the format has entered the catalogue of an established long-form platform rather than a dedicated app.

The company's subsequent filings of 2 July and 19 August 2026, the latter its second-quarter results, contain no reference to micro dramas.
