The online audiovisual programme management department of China's National Radio and Television Administration published its first-tranche notice under the premium microdrama production and distribution programme on 28 July 2026, carrying the document number Guangdian Banfa [2026] No. 189. A departmental readout on 1 September had already put the tranche at 16 projects; the notice itself lists all 16, with an assigned theme and a named production company for each.

Named production companies include Youku Information Technology (Beijing), part of Alibaba, for Ting, Hua Kai De Shengyin (听,花开的声音); MIGU Digital Media, part of China Mobile, as co-producer of Tianshan Jiaoxia Huo Man Cang (天山脚下货满仓); and the technology arm of Shanghai Film Group for Xin 51 Hao Bingzhan (新51号兵站). Assigned themes include anti-corruption, Long March history, cross-strait family ties, legal education and intangible cultural heritage.

The projects are described as proposed rather than awarded. Written objections bearing an organisational seal were due by 3 August 2026. The notice repeats that the programme collects projects in three tranches. No monetary value has been published for the tranche.
