Global Mofy AI raises $2.04m, pricing shares far below its last close

The Nasdaq-listed Chinese content group, which runs the short-drama brand Mofy Clip and has co-produced with China Literature, sold 3,796,000 shares at $0.538 against a $2.56 close eight days earlier.

What this basis means: Regulatory filing, government body, court or industry association.

Global Mofy AI Limited, a Cayman-incorporated group with operating subsidiaries in Beijing, closed a self-underwritten registered direct offering on 1 September 2026. It sold 3,796,000 Class A ordinary shares at $0.538 each for gross proceeds of about $2.04m before expenses, and said the money is for working capital. The securities purchase agreements were signed on 31 August 2026 and the shares were issued the following day. No underwriter was involved and the company paid no discounts, fees or commissions.

The same prospectus supplement reports that the shares closed at $2.56 on the Nasdaq Capital Market on 28 August 2026, and that the high and low closing prices over the preceding year were $113.50 and $1.85. The offering price is therefore roughly a fifth of the last close the filing itself cites. The document notes recent volatility in the share price but does not reconcile the two figures. Nasdaq notified the company on 25 September 2024 that it did not meet the exchange's minimum bid price requirement.

The company's short-drama activity is a single line in a wider computer-generated content business. It launched the short-drama brand Mofy Clip on 17 March 2025 and, on the same date, co-produced a short drama released under China Literature's short-drama brand Yuewen Short Drama. The filing discloses no short-drama revenue, segment or operating metric.
