The organisation was founded by Tina Randolph Contogenis, founder and president of Eris Talent Agency and Eris Entertainment, and Alicia Read, a producer, actor and co-founder of the VFSSA. It describes itself as the industry's first professional vertical entertainment alliance.

The founding leadership circle includes Sammie Hao, head of talent strategy and business development at Crazy Maple Studio, and Karla Rodriguez, head of development and strategic partnerships at GoodShort, as well as Amy Sullivan, Shannon Taylor, Ira Storozhenko and Isabel Drean.
