EiLiN says its subscription will cost under €15; RTLZWEI plans 60 vertical episodes
At Medientage München, the German vertical platform gave a price ceiling and launch catalogue size but no launch date. RTLZWEI described its vertical series as a test balloon.
What this basis means: Disclosed by the company about itself, and not independently confirmed.
At Medientage München on 22 October 2026, Sophie Werdin, managing director of Vertical Minds, said EiLiN, which describes itself as the first vertical streaming platform in the German-speaking region, will launch with 10 to 15 series. A monthly subscription will cost under €15, with season passes on top; the exact price has not been set. No launch date was given.
EiLiN plans further revenue from advertising and brand integration and will release free teaser episodes on social networks. The platform said it will not bill per episode with coins, as Asian and US apps do.
Thanh Do of RTLZWEI said the broadcaster plans 60 vertical episodes of a spin-off from Berlin – Tag & Nacht "this year", calling it a test balloon ("Testballon"). Distribution is mainly on TikTok, where the channel has about 1 million followers, as well as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Whether the series will also run on RTL+ is still under internal discussion.
