Minivela, based in Miami, said on 22 October 2026 that it had acquired a "major ownership stake" in Red Minds Films, a microdrama producer based in Mexico and Ecuador. The size of the stake, the price and the valuation were not disclosed.
The companies said Red Minds has produced about 1,800 microdramas and reaches about 185 million views a month and about 38 million followers. The agreement includes exclusive worldwide resale rights to the Red Minds library. These figures are the companies' own and were not independently sourced.
Minivela, which targets Latino audiences, partnered earlier this year with Great American Media on Pure Flix Familia, according to the release.
