TF1+ plans a vertical feed for 2027 and says it will explore original micro-dramas
French broadcaster TF1 will add a vertical feed of natively vertical content to its streaming service TF1+, open to advertising from July 2027. Its advertising chief said the group wants to investigate original micro-dramas for mobile.
What this basis means: Disclosed by the company about itself, and not independently confirmed.
TF1 announced a vertical video feed for its free streaming service TF1+ at its TF1+ Upfront on 3 November 2026. The feed, built around content produced natively for vertical viewing, is due to launch next year and will open to advertising from July 2027, CB News and The Media Leader FR reported.
Mobile already accounts for 20% of TF1+ viewing hours, according to the company.
In an interview with The Media Leader FR, Sylvia Tassan Toffola, chief executive of the group's advertising arm TF1 Pub, said the aim was for the service to become fully mobile-native, and added: "We want to investigate original creation on this device with micro-dramas" ("nous souhaitons investiguer la création originale sur ce device avec des micro-dramas"). No title, budget or date was given for any micro-drama project.
TF1 Pub also said 75% of TF1+ campaigns now run on connected TV.
