RTL Deutschland began showing selected vertical-drama series from Inkitt's CandyJar app on its streaming service RTL+ on 6 November 2026, Digitalfernsehen and Quotenmeter reported. The series run in the RTL+ mobile apps and web offer.
RTL+ viewers can watch the first episodes of the romance short series directly. Titles available at launch include Fight Dirty, The Arrangement, Life Is Not a Game, Loving My Brother's Best Friend and His Nerd. To continue a story, viewers are redirected to the CandyJar app and receive 50 free coins, enough to unlock one further episode. In the German App Store the app is now listed as "CandyJar presented by RTL+".
Inkitt described the deal as its first major media partnership in Europe. Its founder and chief executive Ali Albazaz called Germany "one of the most important entertainment markets in the world" and the partnership "the first of many steps" to bring CandyJar to audiences outside the US. Henning Nieslony, executive vice president for streaming at RTL, said the cooperation would give the company insight into how vertical drama is received by its audience and what potential the format has for its streaming business.
Neither report gave financial terms for the arrangement.
