Kunlun Tech (SZSE: 300418) reported revenue of RMB 5,359.2m for the first half of 2026, up 43.55% from RMB 3,733.3m a year earlier, in the summary of its half-year report published on the Shenzhen exchange's disclosure platform on 20 August 2026. Overseas revenue was RMB 5.20bn, up 51.21%. Net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 1.09bn, against a loss of RMB 855.5m a year earlier, which the company attributed in part to a recovery in its investment business. Excluding non-recurring items, it recorded a loss of RMB 457.6m.

The revenue growth figure is for the whole group, not for short drama alone. For its AI short-drama platforms, DramaWave and FreeReels, the company said monthly gross billings exceeded $65m at the end of June 2026. Citing Sensor Tower, it said the platforms together ranked first by monthly active users among overseas short-drama services in the first half, and that FreeReels was the only overseas short-drama app with more than 200m estimated downloads in the period. It reported average daily use of more than 30 minutes on DramaWave and more than 60 minutes on FreeReels.
