PineDrama, the overseas short-drama app from ByteDance, has passed 100m cumulative downloads, according to Sensor Tower figures published on 19 September 2026 by the Chinese entertainment-business outlet 娱乐资本论 on The Paper. The app launched in the US and Brazil in January 2026.
The same report gave about 7m daily active users and more than 17m downloads a month. Indonesia and Brazil together accounted for 82% of cumulative downloads. PineDrama ranked seventh in Sensor Tower's second-quarter 2026 ranking of Chinese non-game apps by overseas downloads, the only app on that list less than a year old. DataEye ranked it fifth among overseas microdrama apps by downloads in August 2026.
The figures are Sensor Tower and DataEye estimates as reported. The Chinese outlet PEdaily repeated the download figures on 11 October.
