COL Group (中文在线, SZSE: 300364) published a plan on 1 October 2026 to issue A shares to specific investors, raising up to RMB 2,832.6m, according to its filings on cninfo.

The feasibility report allocates RMB 863.9m to upgrading its digital-copyright content resources and RMB 575.1m to IP-derivative content development, described as acquiring rights for AI short dramas, mid-length dramas and interactive dramas. A further RMB 479.2m goes to AI large-model research, RMB 338.5m to an AIGC multimodal content platform, RMB 175.9m to a technology middle platform and RMB 400m to working capital.

The filing restates company figures for FlareFlow, its overseas short-drama app launched in April 2025: more than 52 million cumulative registered users, close to 7,000 titles and coverage of over 200 countries and regions.

The placement is a proposal. It requires approval at an extraordinary general meeting, review by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and registration with the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Investors and pricing were not named.
