ReelShort, the vertical-drama app operated by Crazy Maple Studio, has licensed two novels from Tessa Bailey's Big Shot series, Fangirl Down and The Au Pair Affair, for adaptation as vertical series, TheWrap reported on 2 November 2026.
Production began on 2 November. A preview is planned for the Telly Awards on 10 November, and the series are expected to be released in early 2027, according to the report.
Crazy Maple said the adaptations would put the books in front of "70 million eyeballs" and that sales of an earlier adapted author's book rose eightfold month over month after her series was released. The company did not give a source for either figure.
The deal follows ReelShort's adaptations of Wattpad titles announced in October.
