Flipkart is India's largest domestic e-commerce platform, majority-owned by Walmart since 2018. Two Indian technology outlets reported on 2 September 2026 that it has added short-form drama inside its main shopping application, and their accounts differ. Entrackr said it had seen the section live, describing a Play tab in the bottom navigation bar containing Explore for creator content and Drama for microdramas, and naming ten titles. Inc42, publishing 43 minutes later, said Flipkart is testing a microdrama feed and is in talks with content producers, and recorded that it had approached the company for comment without response. Both credit Moneycontrol as first to report. Flipkart has issued no statement of its own, and Walmart has not commented.
