Warner Bros. Discovery began testing a vertical feed, Shorts, inside HBO Max on 28 July 2026 for selected US iOS users, with more devices and markets promised. It is a discovery feed rather than microdrama: trailers, clips and bonus content cut from the existing HBO Max library and reformatted to 9:16, selected with AI and curated by hand. It carries no coins and no per-episode paywall, and works indirectly by driving long-form viewing. It is the fourth Western incumbent vertical feed, after Netflix's 'Clips', Disney+'s 'Verts' and Peacock.
