TikTok launches Mini Dramas for brands, with a Growth Max ad tool
From 1 July, advertisers can publish episodic mini-drama series directly on TikTok. Maybelline, Crocs and Starbucks are named as testing it.
What this basis means: Disclosed by the company about itself, and not independently confirmed.
TikTok introduced a branded product called Mini Dramas on 1 July 2026, allowing advertisers to publish episodic mini-drama series directly on the platform, together with an ad tool called Growth Max. Maybelline, Crocs and Starbucks are named as testing the format.
It is the second move by a large platform in four weeks to capture brand-funded microdrama budgets, after Meta's Series. The effect is to keep brand spending inside the social platforms rather than routing it to standalone microdrama apps.
