The Chicago Cubs will premiere Nine Innings to Love, a scripted vertical romantic comedy, on the club's TikTok channel on 4 September 2026. Variety and the Chicago Sun-Times reported the series on 31 August 2026.
It runs to 17 short-form episodes and follows two Cubs supporters at Wrigley Field. Veronica Garrubbo plays Ava, an aspiring romance writer, and Sid Kutikkad plays David, a seatmate who does not believe romance is real. Angelina Davila, Kevin Kantor, Shelby Brown and Cole Steeves also appear.
Cubs Productions, the club's in-house creative arm, created and wrote the series. Coyote Sun Productions of Chicago provided production services and Adam Sobel directed.
The series is distributed free on a third-party social platform rather than through a microdrama application. The club has disclosed no budget, no monetisation and no further titles.
