Three European industry events add vertical strands to their autumn programmes
Iberseries in Madrid published a vertical microseries pitch on 27 August, Seriesly Berlin carries a vertical drama pitch on 16 September, and Medientage Munchen added a session on vertical distribution and monetisation on 26 August.
What this basis means: Regulatory filing, government body, court or industry association.
Three European industry events published vertical-format programming in the last week of August 2026.
Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid published its 2026 selection on 27 August: 84 projects from 13 countries out of 488 entries, including a strand headed Pitch Rio Ancho for vertical microseries. Titles tagged as vertical microdrama include Ladyglitch, from Miguel Alcantud in Spain, and Graduacion Sangrienta, from Marion Duarte Urra and Carlos Mican in Chile and Spain. Rio Ancho is a production company based in Argentina and Uruguay specialising in new format development, not a project title.
Seriesly Berlin, running 14 to 17 September, carries a Seriesly Berlin Vertical Drama Pitch on 16 September, described as a new showcase for projects exploring storytelling for vertical and digital formats. Four projects were selected on 21 August: Deep Fake from France, Just do it from Germany, What We See from Germany, and Worth to Know from a co-production of Argentina, Germany and Spain.
Medientage Munchen added a session on 26 August titled Vertical Value, on distribution and monetisation in the vertical format, scheduled for 21 October with Bernd Riefler of veed analytics. The session is absent from an Internet Archive capture of the programme page dated 23 August and present on the live page.
