Telecoms carrier iQSTEL to bill Idilio TV subscriptions to the mobile bill
A US-listed wholesale carrier will distribute the Colombian microdrama service across Latin America and charge subscriptions to users' phone accounts rather than to an app store.
What this basis means: Regulatory filing, government body, court or industry association.
iQSTEL Inc., a wholesale telecommunications company listed on Nasdaq as IQST, disclosed an agreement to distribute Idilio TV through its carrier network and to bill subscriptions directly to users' mobile accounts. The company filed the disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 8 September 2026 under accession number 0001663577-26-000262, attaching a press release dated 3 September 2026.
The arrangement targets Spanish-language audiences in Latin America and the United States diaspora, where card penetration is lower than app-store billing assumes. Direct carrier billing places the charge on the monthly phone bill, bypassing Apple and Google payment rails and the commission attached to them. Idilio TV is a Bogota-based service founded by Gabriela Tafur and Esteban Ramirez, which raised a seed round in June 2026 backed by WndrCo, a16z Speedrun, Goodwater Capital and Nubank founder David Velez. The filing states the seed at $5m; the round was reported elsewhere at $5.5m.
iQSTEL described its network as reaching more than 600 operators in 24 countries. The filing also carried two subscriber figures, roughly 40m potential mobile audience by the end of the second quarter of 2027 and 500,000 gross subscribers by the end of 2027, and disclaimed both in its own text as "not a forecast, financial guidance, or an existing subscriber base" and as "an arithmetic illustration based on an assumed 1.25% gross penetration rate".
