aTwist, the microseries platform, and Hartbeat Vertical released the first three microdramas from their content partnership, Blex Media reported on 23 September 2026.
The titles are Trapstar: Queen of the Game, an adaptation of a book by novelist Blake Karrington; Circle of Lies; and Mirror. Trapstar was produced by Upscale Media Films, the production company that holds Karrington's slate for aTwist. The cast includes Tyler Abron, Jamal Woolard and Toccara Jones; Kareem Oda Jr. directed, and Tyrone J. Dangerfield wrote the script.
Hartbeat Vertical and aTwist announced a partnership on 1 September 2026 covering more than 20 vertical originals for the platform, including adaptations of Karrington's books. This release is the first wave of titles under that agreement.
