BET to run its first aTwist microseries on linear television first
Her Baby premieres on BET on 7 October in horizontal long-form episodes, moving to aTwist's vertical platform afterwards. No date has been given for the vertical release.

BET announced on 22 September 2026 that Her Baby, a psychological thriller, will be the first title from its partnership with the vertical platform and studio aTwist. The series runs to four half-hour episodes and premieres on Wednesday 7 October 2026 at 10 p.m. ET/CT.
The distribution sequence inverts the usual order for the format. BET will air a limited first-run window of the long-form episodes in horizontal format, released weekly. The episodes then move to aTwist's vertical platform, reformatted as a microseries, on a date the company says will be announced later.
The series is produced by aTwist, which was founded by Jana Winograde, formerly president of Showtime, Susan Rovner, formerly chairman of NBCUniversal content, and Lloyd Braun, formerly chairman of ABC Entertainment Group. Series regulars are Mia Reese, Destyni Hannah Cooper and Brandon McGee. BET Media Group is a unit of Paramount, a Skydance Corporation.
No budget, audience or revenue figure was disclosed, and no episode count was given for the vertical version. The underlying BET-aTwist partnership was announced earlier, in the first half of September 2026.
