RisingJoy plans 30 AI-assisted vertical anime titles by early 2027
The Singapore studio says six titles under its RJOY Originals label are finished and all 30 are due by the end of Q1 2027. It has also signed a framework agreement with NTT DOCOMO Studio & Live.

RisingJoy, a Singapore-based microdrama studio, is producing 30 vertical anime titles under the RJOY Originals label using AI tools, C21 Media reported on 26 October 2026. According to the company, six titles are complete, four more are due by the end of 2026 and two in January 2027, with all 30 due by the end of the first quarter of 2027.
RisingJoy said its own creative team develops and directs the titles, and that AI tools allow a scale conventional animation cannot reach at short-form budgets. The anime is produced in Japanese and English.
The company also said it signed a framework memorandum of understanding with NTT DOCOMO Studio & Live covering international distribution of the Japanese company's vertical content, including anime, with titles licensed non-exclusively on a title-by-title basis.
RisingJoy said the anime runs on its RJOY service in Indonesia and Malaysia through the IDN App and Sooka, operated by Astro, and has ranked among the top 10 titles by views on both. The company also said it distributes microdramas on more than 50 platforms in over 40 countries. These figures are company claims and were not independently verified. Chief executive Cassandra Yang called vertical anime "a strategic category for us, not an experiment".
