Black Forest Studios, a German production company based in Kirchzarten near Freiburg, announced on 15 September 2026 that its microdrama platform will be called Snaxx and will launch on 1 November 2026, on iOS and Android simultaneously. Deadline and the German trade outlets DWDL.de and MikroDrama.de reported the announcement.

The first episodes of each series are free, after which viewers either unlock single episodes with pre-purchased coins or subscribe. DWDL, citing the Snaxx website, gives an ad-supported tier at EUR 4.99 a month and an ad-free tier at EUR 9.99. The pricing is company-stated, and subscriptions are not yet on sale.

Snaxx is to carry series shot in 16:9 and cropped to 9:16, which the company says allows a horizontal version for television and licensing alongside the vertical cut. A service it calls Re:Format offers broadcasters and studios the repurposing of existing material into vertical episodes. From 2027 it targets ten to 15 series a year.

As of 15 September the application was listed in neither the Apple App Store nor Google Play, and the website carried a waiting-list sign-up. Deadline reported the company calling Snaxx Europe's first premium microdrama platform, and noted others may dispute it. A count of 16 completed series at launch, repeated in German coverage, traces to Deadline's own January reporting; DWDL counted five on the site.
