My Drama puts microdrama season budgets at 80k to 250k depending on location
At Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid, My Drama's head of studio gave budget ranges for Eastern Europe and the United States, without naming a currency, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
What this basis means: Disclosed by the company about itself, and not independently confirmed.
Sasha Tkachenko, head of studio at My Drama, owned by Holywater Tech, said at Iberseries & Platino Industria in Madrid that a microdrama season produced in Eastern Europe costs "from 80k up to 120k", and one produced in the United States between 120k and 250k, with Los Angeles the most expensive location. The Hollywood Reporter, which reported the remarks on 2 October 2026, noted that she did not specify a currency. She said seasons run to at least 55 episodes, with total running times of around 60 minutes.
At the same event, Pedro Lopes, director general of content at Portugal's SPi, said viewers typically watch the first five episodes of a series before moving on to another. Marcela Kartaszewicz, head of communications at DramaBox, said LGBTQ+ stories and age-gap love stories were among the most popular genres and that DramaBox was adding thriller elements to its scripts.
The figures are statements by individual companies at an industry event.
